Pay-as-you-go (PAYG) proxies bill you for the bandwidth you consume instead of a fixed recurring fee. You add funds to a prepaid balance, and each request draws down from that balance based on the data it transfers. There is nothing to cancel and no minimum monthly spend — when your work is done, you simply stop using the balance.

PAYG is usually the better fit when:

• Your usage is spiky or seasonal. If you run a scrape for a week and then go quiet for a month, a monthly plan charges you through the quiet stretch. PAYG only charges for the active week.
• You are testing or building. During development you rarely know your final volume. Per-GB pricing lets you validate a workflow on a few dollars before committing to anything larger.
• You need premium IP quality for a small job. Tier-1 ISP and real mobile IPs are the hardest for sites to flag, and PAYG lets you buy exactly the amount you need for a targeting-sensitive task.
• You want precise cost control. Because your balance is prepaid, spend is bounded by what you have topped up — you decide how much sits in the account and top up again when you want more.

Where PAYG is not the cheapest option is sustained high-volume, bandwidth-heavy work. If you are moving large amounts of data every day, a flat-rate or unmetered plan is often more economical per gigabyte. We cover that trade-off in the volume section below.

PAYG billing on ProxyOmega runs on a prepaid balance model:

1. You add funds. Top up your account balance by card (via Stripe) or with cryptocurrency (via CoinGate). You choose the amount.
2. Usage draws down. As you send traffic through a per-GB plan, the gigabytes you transfer are deducted from your balance. Your remaining balance and usage are visible in the dashboard.
3. You top up again when you want more. Because the balance is prepaid, you replenish it whenever it suits you — there is no automatic recurring charge on the PAYG plans.

A prepaid balance keeps spending predictable: you decide how much to load, and traffic draws against that balance rather than an open-ended invoice. Keep an eye on your remaining balance in the dashboard so an active job does not pause when funds run low, and top up before you expect a big run.

Card and crypto top-ups both add to the same balance. Processing times vary by payment method and provider, so we do not guarantee a specific speed — plan a top-up a little ahead of a time-critical job rather than at the last second.
