Privacy policy

Overview

ProxyOmega Ltd ("ProxyOmega", "we", "us") provides proxy infrastructure and related tooling. This policy applies to our website, dashboard, and APIs (the "Services"). It does not govern the content you choose to route through the Services, which remains your responsibility.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you purchase a paid plan, our payment processors collect billing details; we store only a token and the last four digits of any card.

Usage information

We log API requests at the metadata level — timestamps, endpoints, response codes, bandwidth and thread counts — to bill accurately, prevent abuse, and operate the network. We do not inspect or retain the contents of the traffic you proxy.

Device & technical data

Like most services, we record IP address, browser type, and similar diagnostics when you use the dashboard, for security and troubleshooting.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
• To meter usage and process payments.
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or abuse.
• To send service, security, and (where permitted) product communications.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

AI-assisted support

We use AI models to draft and check some support replies and to help our team review support conversations. Your messages, any screenshots you send, and the account details needed to answer you are processed by our AI providers: DeepSeek, which processes data in China, and Anthropic, which processes data in the United States. In the dashboard, replies drafted this way are labelled "AI-assisted".

Legal bases (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area and the UK, we process personal data under the bases of contract (to deliver the Services you request), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the network), legal obligation, and consent where required, such as for certain marketing.

Sharing & disclosure

We share personal information only with: processors that operate the Services on our behalf (payment, hosting, analytics, support, and the AI providers named above) under contract; authorities when compelled by valid legal process; and a successor entity in the event of a merger or acquisition. Each processor is bound to protect the data and use it only as instructed.

Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, tax, and security obligations. Request metadata is retained on a rolling window sufficient for billing disputes and abuse investigations, then aggregated or deleted.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise most of these directly in the dashboard, or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

International transfers

We operate globally and transfer data to countries other than your own. Our account systems are in the United Kingdom, our proxy network and its logs are in the United States, and our AI support providers process data in the United States and China. These countries may not protect personal data to the same standard as the UK or the European Economic Area. Where we transfer personal data from the UK or the EEA, we use the safeguards available to us, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security

We maintain technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and continuous monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie choice. With your permission, our website also uses Google Analytics cookies to understand how it is used. They stay off unless you choose Accept in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the dashboard or by email. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
